The negatives: Have done ~30 rips so far, only one had a hiccup. The one problem disk was a Disney special features disk; having trouble with that disk is not in any way surprising.
There is a very limited free version that one can download and install to verify that it will work on an individuals computer BEFORE purchasing the activation code.
The encoding to MP4 is extremely CPU intensive. I have an I7 in my machine, and during the encoding all 8 cores are shown as being used at about 90%. Rips that encode take some time to complete, of course based on the length of the title.
Wasn't very negative was it?
Pros: VERY BEST ripper software I have used. The fact that it also encodes into MP4 at the same time is an amazing bonus.
Mounts the disk fast.
Haven't yet had any known problems with scratches.
